Found a 90 Bronco which was running and driveable for my 13 yr old son as a Father/Son project. Was determined the engine and trans needed to be replaced.

Had a local shop rebuild the trans and bought a 351W long block from O'Reilly's. With both motors in my shed and on cradles we started to transfer all external parts to new engine. An hour here and there and 6 months later we were ready for install. Should be noted during this time the new engine was in a fully enclosed shed and covered.

Also, the engine was rotated during this time. So, we install the new engine and transmission. Barring over the engine to bolt up the torque converter it continued to rotate smoothly. Installed front and rear shafts and transfer case and noticed rust everywhere on the block which wasn't there during the build.

Go to start and engine will not move. O'Reilly's says put Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder and let sit for 3 days. On day 2 I drained and dropped the pan out of curiosity and found rust internally on main bearing caps in on cylinder walls. Reinstalled pan, added Marvel oil back to each cylinder.

O'Reilly's says they'll warranty the motor but will not pay for labor. Like other's I even tried rotating through the crank pulley.

Not sure about my next step, my son and I put a lot of time and love into restoring this great classic for him to be proud of driving to HS and college. Very disappointed.

Reason of review: Bad quality.
